I got the job!
March 1, 2006I got the job! I’m starting out doing oil changes, tires, etc., but at least I’m in the door. The pay sucks, but I should be able to move up in no time.

That’s right! I have an interview at a Pontiac/GMC dealership tomorrow. I don’t really care for either of those brands, but it’s probably better that I work on cars that I don’t like (that way I won’t get sick of the one’s that I do like). So everyone wish me luck.
I feel dumb for not thinking about this before hand, but my allergies are killing me at work. I need to find a doctor and make an apointment, but there is no time. I guess that is what the weekend is for…
Ok, here’s my schedule;
5:45 a.m.: go to school
12:00p.m.: get out of school
1:00p.m.: go to work
9:00p.m.: get out of work
9:30p.m.: pass out in my bed…
So that’s why I’ve been so tired. The job’s kind of fun though, I just go in and fix a bunch of lawn mowers. It could be a valve job, new short block, new crank, new anything and every thing. But at least I’m getting $10/hour, so that feels good.
I’m still tired. I hope I get used to this quick.
That was really boring, but I made money (so I guess it evened out). I had to fill out a bunch of paperwork, watch videos, learn about safety, etc. But 8.5 hours multiplied by ten bucks per hour equals 78 dollars for me! Wait, that’s not right…
Well, it’s finally here; the day I start work. I get to go in for orientation and watch video, after video, after video, and so on and so forth. Thankfully I didn’t have school today. I think the school thought it would be best not to have school the day after cinco de mayo. But anyway, I’ll let everyone know how it went.
Wish me luck…
