May 21, 2006I just saw the movie, and it was pretty good. I only say pretty good because the book was incredible. If anyone sees the movie without reading the book first, they are doing their selves an injustice. A lot of the review say that Tom Hanks’ performance was dry and lacking, but he’s playing a Harvard professor. What do you expect him to be like? I believe that this is one book that shouldn’t have been made into a movie, just for the simple fact that it’s something to be read slowly and thought about, not crammed down your throat in 2.5 hours. It’s still worth seeing but only if you’ve read the book.
