United 93

I just saw the movie United 93. What an incredible movie. You know what is going to happen, but it keeps your heart pounding, and keeps you in suspense. It’s weird thinking about what those people did to overcome the terrorists, and whether or not you could/would have done the same thing. Seeing those passengers phone their families telling them that they loved them was very emotional. It really makes you think about the fact that it wasn’t just an airplane that crashed, but people too.

I just saw the movie, and it was pretty good. I only say pretty good because the book was incredible. If anyone sees the movie without reading the book first, they are doing their selves an injustice. A lot of the review say that Tom Hanks’ performance was dry and lacking, but he’s playing a Harvard professor. What do you expect him to be like? I believe that this is one book that shouldn’t have been made into a movie, just for the simple fact that it’s something to be read slowly and thought about, not crammed down your throat in 2.5 hours. It’s still worth seeing but only if you’ve read the book.

I had to come home early from work today. I have a headache, I feel warm, I have a stuffed up nose and it’s running at the same time. On the way home I bought 6 cans of chicken noodle soop and 2 jugs of gatorade. I ate the soup within 4 hours…
