MMMMMMMM well I guess you have to make a list of the positive things about owning an animal ( child if you lived with us, Mugs is a spoiled brat)
Negative
They can be very expensive. the vet bills can kill you.
You are responsibile for the welfare of this animal. Which means if you decided to travel It either goes with you or you pay someone to take care of it.
Then there is the cost of food. ( if it has allergies ou wil need special food)
Cats can get certain sicknesses and need medication tht can get expensive. Cousin Jill can tell you about that one.
Althought they are cleaner than dogs you do have that litter box to think of and clean every day.
If they get hurt or injured it can break your heart.
Positive
They can be very affectionate.
You can leave them for several days with out being watched if you have the proper food containers and several litter boxes.
They are very independent and give love and affection when they want to but when they do that little engine purring can make your heart sing.
They can live for years and years. I have a friend that has a cat that is 17 years old.
I guess you have to make your own list becasue every one sees things differently.
As you can tell I’m a list maker it helps me to see things much clearer
